Julius Aitken picked up his sister's flute at the age of 8 and started composing.
By the time he was 14 he'd moved on to guitar and began writing riffs, melodies and songs.
After that came the University band, the discovery of drum machines, sequencers, synths, MIDI and digital mixing desks.
Julius operates from a compact but sophisticated studio in SW16 which has seen an eclectic range of musicians pass through its doors: from trumpeters to bazouki players, violinists to rappers, vocalists old and young, not to mention the usual suspects - bass, drums and guitars.
When not composing for TV Julius is producing an album for South London outfit, Hoover Manoeuvres, in which he also plays guitar. Check out www.hoovermanoeuvres.co.uk for more info and download some mp3's.
