What to bring
Food-wise, you'll need to fend for yourselves on Friday night, Saturday morning and Saturday lunchtime. There are basic kitchen facilities on site but please bring your own pots, pans, plates, cutlery, mugs etc - we try to be as green as poss! Also bring picnic rug, chair, , booze, earplugs and eye mask (optional but highly recommended). If your child would like to make a lantern for the 5.30pm procession, please be sure to bring with you a clean, label-free jam jar per child.
Comedy hat for cocktail hour (must be worn!)
No dogs please - it's a poo thing.
Children
This year's Minifest has a lot of nippers attending, so we must point out that although we have tried to consider all aspects of Health & Safety, your children are ultimately your responsibility.
We will be feeding kids in 3 sittings from 6pm: younger ones eating first, while the older ones work up an appetite at the early disco. Please help us avoid a stampede at kids' tea.
The Kid's marquee is open all afternoon for arts and crafts for (particularly the smaller) kids. After 8pm it becomes the kid's chill-out zone and cinema, with some au pairs/ babysitters on hand, and films and quiet activities on offer.
Sunday morning
Sunday breakfast is a DIY affair. There's bacon, bread, tea and coffee, juice, cereal, fruit etc, and an industrial BBQ for knocking together a bacon sandwich. It's a team effort - dive in!
Stick around Sunday morning for a country walk around the farm, a game of cricket/rounders, and general hangover recovery. Maybe a jam on the main stage... But we have to have the site clear of people and tidy for midday on Sunday. Please help us with this by bagging all your rubbish and dump it in the bins by the back of the kitchens.
That's it! Bring on the 'fest! Can't wait to see you!
The Minifest Team
(Jules, Wendy, Polly, Si, Elodie & Wigs)
PS Now for the boring bit: If you see any children doing anything stupid, we ask you to take collective responsibility and help diffuse the situation. If you see too many people on the bouncy castle, or it getting a little bit boisterous, please step in and intervene. We will have a first-aider on hand but, as stated before, all children are the responsibility of their parents. We thank you.
